Energy I-Corps, formerly known as Lab-Corps, pairs teams of researchers with industry mentors for an intensive two-month training where the researchers define technology value propositions, conduct customer discovery interviews, and develop viable market pathways for their technologies. Researchers return to the lab with a framework for industry engagement to guide future research and inform a culture of market awareness within the labs. In this way, Energy I-Corps is ensuring that our investment in the national labs is maintaining and strengthening U.S. competitiveness long-term.
Fermilab previously sent a team to Cohort 3, which was funded by DOE’s Advanced Manufacturing Office in the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. Fermilab currently has a team participating in Cohort 7, which is being funded by DOE’s Office of Environmental Management.
Submission deadline for the Intent to Apply has been moved to July 27, 2018. There will be a General Informational Webinar for interested researchers on July 17, 2018.
